What are the SME Digital Packages, and how can they benefit my business?

  • SME Digital Packages (formerly Fit4Digital Packages), established by the Ministry of Economy, aims to help small and medium-sized companies in taking bigger steps towards digitalisation.
  • Eligible SMEs in Luxembourg can receive a €5000 government grant to implement the following activities:

Digital Marketing:

developing or improving your website, and running social media campaigns.

Management system:

includes an ERP, a cash register, or a software tailored to your industry.

Electronic invoicing:

an ERP system with a specific module for electronic invoicing.

Is my company eligible for the SME Digital Packages?

The SME Digital Packages are available to companies that:

  • Hold a business permit issued by the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy.
  • Have their registered office located in Luxembourg.
  • Meet the conditions for SMEs in terms of staff, annual turnover and annual balance sheet:

Annual balance sheet:

< €10M for small companies
< €43M for medium-sized companies

Number of employees:

< 50 for small companies
< 250 for medium-sized companies

Annual turnover:

< €10M for small companies
< €50M for medium-sized companies

SME Digital Packages FAQ

To benefit from the SME Packages – Digital programme, companies must carry out a project worth between EUR 6,650 excl. VAT and EUR 25,000 excl. VAT.

The amount of financial aid granted by the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy for the implementation of the digital solution is a fixed amount of EUR 5,000 excl. VAT.

Companies will be reimbursed after the package is in place.

1. Pre-analysis of your current situation

Make an appointment with the House of Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce or with the eHandwierk department of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (for craft businesses) for a pre-analysis of your current situation in terms of digitalisation to identify priority actions.

2. Definition of your package and choice of service provider

You choose your package and the provider that best meets your expectations. Together, you define a quote of between EUR 6,650 excl. VAT and EUR 25,000 excl. VAT.

3. Submitting and reviewing your application

Your application for financial aid is completed by a House of Entrepreneurship adviser or by an eHandwierk adviser for craft businesses.

The General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy analyses and decides on your application.

4. Implementation of the package

The service provider implements the digital solution according to the chosen package.

5. Assessment of your package

Once the service provider has finished providing support, an evaluation meeting will determine your level of satisfaction and savings made. At that point, the application process will be deemed closed.

6. Your voucher

You pay the final bill to the provider. The General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy will provide you with a grant amounting to EUR 5,000.
